Dr. Yen-Kar Ng graduated from the National University of Malaysia with a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and a Minor in management. Upon his graduation, he continued his Master’s degree at the University of Bradford, England and obtained a Master’s degree in 2007 in Biomedical Sciences (Cancer Biology). In 2008, he started his Ph.D. in the field of neuroscience and received his Ph.D. degree (Dr. rer. nat.) from the Technical University Munich, Germany, for his work on the expression and characterization of microRNAs in the developing brain. Prior to working in the field of intellectual property, he joined the European Mouse Mutant Cell Repository (EuMMCR) in Helmholtz Centre Munich and worked as a Staff Scientist.
Dr. Ng has special experience in the areas of chemistry and life sciences, particularly in biotechnology, biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, and stem cell biology. In 2012, he started his career in intellectual property rights in a prestigious international patent law firm in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Dr. Yen-Kar Ng has been with BOVARD LTD since February 2014 and is now mainly involved in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
